Remote working: one of the most commonly used (English) words of the last two or three years.
Whilst some companies were already doing this – particularly the larger ones or multinationals – this practice became a widespread phenomenon during the pandemic.
One thing is certain: some companies have realised just how beneficial it often is – both for themselves and for their staff – to work from home. On the one hand, there is an increase in productivity; on the other, it offers the chance to better manage family life, household chores and personal commitments, whilst avoiding being stuck in traffic.
The evolution of remote working
Technology not only helps to decentralise workplaces, but in fact: sometimes all you need is an internet connection and a computer to be able to work, quite literally, anywhere.
This also leads to another development: working whilst on holiday!
